Reporting an Outage

Report an outage by calling Festival Hydro 24/7 via phone at 519-271-4700 or 1-866-444-9370 or via the Chat Widget icon (bottom right hand corner).

Unplanned Power Outages

We are proud to provide reliable and dependable service to all of our customers across our service territory. Although unplanned power outages can occur at any time for a number of reasons, such as adverse weather conditions, construction damage, fallen trees, traffic accidents, equipment failure, or loss of supply. Festival Hydro Inc. has measures in place to ensure that unplanned outages are minimal. If an unplanned power outage occurs, our experienced team of line workers is dispatched to investigate and restore power as quickly and safely as possible.

Planned Power Outages

Planned power outages are necessary for many reasons, such as to perform critical maintenance, repairs and/or infrastructure upgrades. When a planned outage is required, our operations team carefully schedules the outage to minimize the disruption to residents and businesses. Planned outages help to improve the safety and reliability of the electricity distribution system. 

Prior to a scheduled planned outage takes place, we make sure to notify all affected customers. We also contact facilities or businesses that may be particularly impacted by the outage, such as hospitals, long-term care homes, factories and grocery stores.

Current Planned Power Outages

First Outage

Date: Wednesday, September 16, 2026

Time: 9:30 a.m. (for approx. 1.5 hours)

City/Town: Brussels, ON

Location: Turnberry Street, Flora Street, and Elizabeth Street

Affected Customers: Informed customers of 570, 586, 589, 590, 620 & 630 Turnberry Street, 42 & 43 Flora Street, and 532 & 533 Elizabeth Street

Reason for Outage: Capital Upgrade

Second Outage

Date: Wednesday, October 7, 2026 (Backup Date: Thursday, October 8, 2026; same times)

Time: 7:00 a.m. (for approx. 8.0 hours)

City/Town: St. Marys, ON

Location: Queen Street East and Industrial Road

Affected Customers: Informed customers of 769, 780, 825, 830, 895, 925 & 940 Queen Street East and 8, 10, 12 & 14 Industrial Road

Reason for Outage: Capital Upgrade

Third Outage

Date: Wednesday, October 7, 2026 (Backup Date: Thursday, October 8, 2026; same times)

Time: 7:00 a.m. (for approx. 30 mins, followed by another interruption for approximately 30 minutes between 2:30 p.m. & 3:30 p.m.)

City/Town: St. Marys, ON

Location: Queen Street East and Industrial Road

Affected Customers: Informed customers of 752, 766 & 776 Queen Street East and 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 17 & 19 Industrial Road

Reason for Outage: Capital Upgrade
