There are also a series of other programs intended to help Ontarians achieve their Summer Savings.
- The Great Refrigerator Roundup – let Festival Hydro and the Ontario Power Authority help you get rid of your electricity-guzzling old second fridge. We’ll come right into your home to get it, and dispose of it in an environmentally-sensitive way. Learn more here.
- The peaksaver™ Program allows qualified customers who reside in areas where electricity usage is higher in summer than in winter to have Festival Hydro briefly reduce the central air conditioner’s electricity usage during critical peak times which are typically weekday afternoons during the hottest days of the summer but never on holidays or weekends.  Cool Savings Rebate Program – You can qualify for up to $800 in rebates by replacing your air conditioning system with an ENERGY STAR®-qualified model. If you tune-up your existing air conditioning system, you could qualify for a $50 rebate.
